HTTP Joins 450 Organizations Endorsing Bicameral ACP Legislation
HTTP endorses the #ACP Extension Act of 2024 along with 450 organizations representing industry, associations, community organizations, state and local government, and civil society. The bipartisan effort to save the Affordable Connectivity Program (“ACP”) is a testament to its importance in closing the digital divide.
The continued advancement of our community, along with other marginalized communities, relies greatly on a sustainably funded ACP. To have fast, reliable, and affordable internet means to have access to increased education, employment and workforce development opportunities, quality healthcare, and other essential services.
Across rural America and sprawling metros, the Latino community thrives when the infrastructure and access to high-speed affordable internet exists. Congress must act now.
HTTP and partner organizations will continue to work with Congress, the FCC, internet service providers , and other community organizations to ensure marginalized communities continue to have full access to the technological ecosystem.
