Each Hispanic Heritage Month, HTTP honors “Tech Innovadores” and their innovative breakthroughs that have allowed us to conquer the skies (the Ochoaplane) carry the world in our pocket (sims cards in cell phones), and protected us from bots and spam (captcha codes), all while keeping our personal information safe (computer passwords).
HTTP’s Tech Innovadores award celebrates the extraordinary work of BIPOC leaders who represent the best and brightest minds in technology and telecommunications policy and are working to advance game changing solutions that promote equity, civil rights, racial justice, and digital opportunity for all.

HTTP’s “Tech Innovadores” Award recognizes the visionary, innovative, and collaborative leadership of multicultural digital inclusion advocates in Congress, the federal government and within civil society.
We are looking for digital equity champions who have demonstrated leadership in promoting:
Social Justice: Advancing social justice, anti-racism and the fight against racial inequality within the tech ecosystem.
Digital Equality: Furthering efforts to expand digital opportunity to every person and every home regardless of race, zip code, gender, ability, orientation, or economic standing.
